Nikolaj Taidakov was born 1954, in Novosibirsk, Russia. He exhibited in Germany, Russia, Spain, Austria. He lives and works in Munich, Germany.
The painter finds inspiration for his paintings in music and lets himself be guided by his feelings. For example, in his works he portrays historical figures such as Catherine the Great and Marilyn Monroe. Again and again he brings the question of the relationship between an object, its representation and its designation to light. His paintings have the author's complicity, artistic originality and, as a result, the valuable attribute of perfect recognizability. His canvases expressive richness of substance and mood are capable of physically shifting the viewer's moods, judgements, and sensations in time and space.
